About Herder Design Ceramics
Herder Design Keramik was founded in 2025 by Domenic Herder with the goal of creating handcrafted ceramics in a minimalist yet sophisticated style. Each piece exemplifies clarity, tranquility, and timeless aesthetics.
Domenic Herder graduated from the Waldorf School in Saarbrücken in 2008 and began studying architecture at the Alanus Art Academy in Alfter that same year. This laid the foundation for his keen sense of form, proportion, and materiality.
From 2012 to 2019, he worked as a fashion photographer in Hamburg, publishing his work in internationally renowned fashion magazines. He then worked as a furniture designer from 2020 to 2024 before devoting himself entirely to ceramics.
Today, Herder's work combines design awareness, craftsmanship, and artistic clarity – in ceramic objects that not only complement spaces but also shape them.
